Doing Music as Image Nation

Home of the Grace Note and the Neologism

Jay Whitney

Tools: FL Studio 9 XXL Producer Edition (and a LOT of what it has to offer), Ableton Live, Sytrus, AutOgun, DirectWave, Edison, PoiZone, JuicePak, Spectroman, Flangus, EQUO, Deckadance, Celemony Melodyne (! Will Use More this with a regular Vocalist!), MuseScore, NeoSound FX, etc. Interesting/relevant hardware: M-Audio keyboards, M-A FastTrack, Applied Research [vacuum] Tube DI Phantom Power / Preamps, Shure (like Patsy Cline) and M-Audio dynamic mics, and MXL and Behringer condenser mics. If you're a DJ/producer and want any of the project files, let me know. I was raised right. I share...

Ask me what any of this means and I'll tell you. Musicians and sofware people invented the neologism. Nutso vocabulary galore. What's a freaking Dee Eye???

Oh the answer? Dee Eye is direct input/injection/interface. Some people call active DI phantom / preamp power / 48 volts, and condenser microphones need it, as it's more than just a signal like passive DI. Made setting up my digital audio workstation (home studio in computerese) confusing for a bit. Now, 'splain Plosives and Sibilance! Bring me another vocalist and I'll finish the answer!

After a hiatus to create new instruments and sounds... Let's DO THIS and start the New Year right. Time to rework the earlier stuff and follow some new ideas...

Perry Como doesn't do Major Key here, but his whistle had to be done and maybe this can be fixed a little...
